What It Means to Be Crowned by Him: A Faith Devotional for Women
"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
— Proverbs 31:25 (NLT)
You Were Not Crowned by the World.
The world has a way of placing crowns on women — and then taking them back. Crowns of beauty, of achievement, of approval. Crowns that shift with trends and expire with seasons.
But there is a crown that does not fade. One that was placed on you not because of what you've done, but because of whose you are.
A Royal Identity
Scripture is clear about who you are. You are a daughter of the King of Kings (Galatians 3:26). You are chosen, holy, and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). These are not affirmations — they are declarations of identity rooted in the character of God.
To be crowned by Him is to receive an identity that no circumstance can revoke. Rejection doesn't remove it. Failure doesn't diminish it. The opinions of others don't define it.
Walking in Your Crown
Living as a crowned daughter of God isn't about arrogance — it's about alignment. It means walking into rooms knowing your worth isn't up for debate. It means extending grace because you've received it. It means choosing dignity over desperation, because you know who holds your future.
Proverbs 31:25 says she laughs without fear of the future. That's not naivety — that's faith. A woman who knows she is crowned by Him doesn't have to grasp for security. She already has it.
